Look Who's Coming to Scrap-A-Latte!

Hi Scrap-A-Latte Friends!  

I'm thrilled to share that the fun and oh-so-talented mixed media artist, Ken Oliver, will be coming to Scrap-A-Latte to teach four workshops in early October. During his visit, workshop participants will not only learn so many wonderful tips and techniques from Ken, but they'll also enjoy discounts on Ken's products that will be on hand at the shop!

Hip to Be Square

6:00 pm, Friday, October 5 / $55

During this two-hour class, you'll learn stenciling techniques with brushes to create six extra-large European style cards. Students only need to bring a roll of paper towels and a heat tool. Renee will have some heat tools for you to use, but you may wish to bring your own as well.

Ink-topia

10 am, Saturday, October 6 / $55

During this three-hour technique workshop, learn how to use the new Color Burst Inks with stencils, stamps and stencil brushes to create up to 50 technique tags. Techniques include laying inks, using water to create dimension and texture with inks, as well as stenciling and stamping techniques. This is a fun, fast paced workshop suitable for students of all skill levels. All the student needs to bring is a roll of paper towels.

Emboss Like a Boss

2 pm, Saturday, October 6 / $60

During this three-hour class, create four 5x7 tags with Kraft Tex, Color Burst and Water Media Paper. Learn new techniques that focus on embossed resist, stamping, stenciling and coloring with Color Burst and Inks. Students only need to bring a roll of paper towels and a heat tool. Renee will have some heat tools for you to use, but you may wish to bring your own as well.

Georgia O'Keefe Inspired Watercolor Poppy Painting

10 am, Sunday, October 7 / $60

During this three-hour class, create one 12x12 framed watercolor poppy painting inspired by artist, Georgia O'Keefe. You'll learn about value, shading to create three dimensional art, composition and color. This is a very exciting class that's suitable for all ages and skill levels. All you need to bring is a roll of paper towels.

Please note that workshop fees are payable at the time of registration and are non-refundable. Please note that workshops with special guest teachers are not eligible for inclusion on your Scrap-A-Latte Class Card.
